~Claire de Lune~
Claire de Lune is an incredibly moving and beautiful song. Many of the song's chords are played using string instruments such as the violin and the occasional cello. These instruments create a soft sound to the song itself, making it a very calm song that I'd here in a formal place or rather a wedding because of its somewhat relation to classical music. It's a kind of song that makes me think and along the way makes a story in my head. The story formed a kind of love story about two lovers who ran away just to be together from all the terrible things in their world...
The artist for this particular song is none other than famous composer Claude Debussy! Claire de Lune is of the impressionist music style, and is played on a piano. It isn't originally one song, its part of a larger song, known as Suite bergamasque. Other parts of this piece of music include the Prelude, Menuet and lastly Passepied. All of these pieces are played in rather high keys, which gives them a slightly mysterious and interesting tone and chord. There are not any other song titles in this composition because it was one simple song that was written and not published until after Debussy's death later on. This song specifically needs to be the only song, one song alone if it was supposed to be in an album because it is a bit lengthy and alos because just as itself it is interesting and beautiful.
Although there are many pieces of the song that Claire de Lune was in, this one I specifically liked. I know that there are other parts of the song that are incredible and well thought out as well as well written, but this one part of the song is the most beautiful. The instruments itself are in high chords and played gracefully so that the music itself flows carefully and doesn't die out in any irregular chords, despite the fact that those were the true intentions of many of Debussy's songs, especially this one. There were not any parts of the songs that I didn't like because Claude did a great job writing them out and also putting the right instruments at the right time there. None of the other tracks are incorrect or out of place.
I think that Claire de Lune perfectly portrays and represents the original piece it is from, Suite bergamasque. The song revolved around Claude's own life, as he was heartbroken at that time, which is why this song somewhat represents a broken heart. I think that a story behind this was a love that could never be, which is originally the inspiration for Claude behind this story. This song can make anyone feel specific emotions, and doesn't always focus on one specific pitch. All of these things make a perfect song. A Claude Debussy song.
Suite bergamasque is a song that people have loved since Claude Debussy's time, which was practically a hundred years ago. These kinds of songs still exist today and have won against time. Songs like these are to be preserved and cared about and listened to, as they are not just something boring, they have interest and amazing things. I loved this music piece, and the time it takes to listen to it is well worth it...so why don't you try it out?
